Lazy Sunday!

Well, today HAS been a lazy Sunday for me so far! I got up this morning got Laci off to church w/mawmaw and went right back to sleep. Danny did wake me up as he was leaving to go play golf. Now, it's just me, the kids, the cats and the puppy!! yep- house is still pretty full!!! LOL...oh well. the main reason for writing this post today was to share my latest "thing" I made. It's a bag I made from a pair of old capri shorts and a small piece of material i had. I also decided i needed a wallet to go along w/the purse. I HATE it when the wallet i have don't match the bag i'm carrying. Not that everything has to be matchy matchy,not at all. But like having a gold silky purse and a blue jean w/pink ruffle wallet. ewww.....not too pretty. So, long story short i made a wallet to go along w/the purse! i think they turned out pretty well....for a homemade set anyway!

Laci wanted to do cheerleading this year. I was very happy to hear this. *until i saw the prices of everything, OMG seriously?!?!?* anyway. Our school colors are orange and blue and thankfully a dear friend of mine had some material that she hated!!! Yay me!!! but i LOVED it! it was orange with blue polka dots on it! so having all this material and free time on my hands with a new found interest in sewing! so, add all that up and you get this: Laci's Messenger bag!
a tote bag for MOM!!!
a duffle bag to carry ALL those things to the ball games! and finally:

a little quilt for either Matt *and mom* to sit on or someone to wrap around them if the weather is not too good and Mom forgets the jackets! Would i do that???? yep, my middle name is sorry i'm late and i forgot to bring..... LOL hope you like them...you'll be glad to know that now i have a few patterns for some things that i'm now trying to make LOL....none of these did but the future ones should be better!!! :)

Trunx's "House"

a few weeks ago I got a new puppy! TRUNX!!! should've named him poopie LOL...or mess, or rotten to the core, or mama's baby waby trunx!! you get the picture? He's a complete mess, but i love him dearly!!! he's truly precious! and TINY~ he's so little that i was worried about him w/the cats. yes, i said with the cats LOL!!!!!! See FatCat is a BIG boy, he didn't get his name by accident, no sir. he's a big ole country boy! and then there's Rockie. wow, she's rough, seriously! rough! but a sweetie to her mommy *ME*! With FatCat being so big i was worried that he might smack him a hurt him or Rockie being so....Rockie, that she might think he's a rat a hurt him *or eat him ewwww*...so to help him hide til they get used to him AND to let them know that he lives here too *?* i made him a little house...ok truth be told, i was only going to make him a little pillow type bed to sleep on, but then i kept seeing him underneath the recliner and thought maybe he'd like to have a "house" to stay in. maybe it'd make him feel more secure and hidden. AGAIN NO PATTERN!!!
so i made his little pillow then decided to make a house around it. see if you can guess what it's made from???? no, no duct tape! i'm completely out!!!

Laci's Shoe Holder

My baby girl has more shoes than most adult women. OMG my SIL *crystal* has a little mini-me in my daughter....seriously!!! LOL...they both LOVE shoes...me? as long as i've got something to wear when i have to, i'm good. AND something to keep my toes warm in the winter it's all good then. but them OMG no way!!! they have shoes for every outfit x2....seriously! Laci definitely took her love of shoes from her Aunt. Storing these little cuties are not an easy "feet" LOL *pun intended*....LOL. still liking that one! I had some material laying around and wondering what to do w/it. I was in a creative mood!!! GET OUTTA THE WAY!!! once again i had no pattern for what i wanted, but knew what i wanted, and had an idea what i wanted it to look like when it was finished. so why not just wing it? so i did...this is what i came up with. It really came out alot better than i'd actually imagined it might. Of course my ole FatCat had to "help". Yeah, had to help talk me into taking a break that is. But I do have the world's best fluffy paper weight around!! LOL...love my kitties! & my kiddies~~~ so without further ado~ here is Laci's Shoe Holder

Lacis Apron

I made myself an apron and of course Ms. Priss wanted one too! I wanted to make her one that would stay on her really well. I couldn't find a pattern online for what i was looking for, well not for free anyway but I did the best i could without a pattern...i think it turned out pretty good actually!!! :)

so happy with a purse and a clutch i made yesterday! well i finished them up yesterday anyway! The purse is adorable and the clutch is just the right size. I'm not sure exactly why i have such a bag fettish, but i guess if you gotta have one that's not so horrible! LOL...ok i'm going to post pics of it later. But right now i've got to take some pics of it first. I was going to get all this done yesterday but the kids only had a 1/2 day at school and Laci had a dentist appt. after that. Have I mentioned i'm not a morning person? It takes me some time to get motivated and moving everyday! Some people wake up and start are raring to go. They jump outta bed and start the day all chipper and happy and just breezing thru their morning routines w/a smile and happiness and OMG they really get on my nerves. I don't know what meds they are on, but i'm def in need of them. Obviously i'm not taking the right ones yet cause i cannot get THAT motivated THAT early in the morning. Give me a couple of hours and a diet dr. pepper and eventually i'll be ready!! LOL...maybe!!! :)
OK going to take the pics now of the purse and clutch, then posting them as promised. Also think i'm gonna post my other "creations". for lack of a better word anyway.
